Interested in rhythmic gymnastics? Now is your opportunity to try it out in person! Join all of the Winnipeg clubs on June 9th to try RG for a free class! Our clubs offer all levels of gymnastics – recreational, display performance, group, competitive, and masters and adult classes. Please reach out to Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba if you have any questions! The event will take place on the court at the Qualico training centre at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre. Already a gymnast? Feel free to drop in or bring a friend!

Team Manitoba Heads to the Canadian Championships

Eight of Manitoba’s top rhythmic gymnasts will take to the competition floor at the Canadian Championships in Markham, Ontario on Friday, May 17th. Team Manitoba will be represented by: Ella Burns (Novice, HPTCI), Aubrey Burns (JuniorO, HPTCI) Samantha Pfeil (JuniorHP, HPTCI), Grace Francis (SeniorO, HPTCI), Mamie Kroeker-Tom (SeniorO, Sapphires), Alexandra Yarema (SeniorO, HPTCI), Anastasia Kurakin (SeniorO, HPTCI), Alexys Purdie (SeniorHP, HPTCI).

Manitoban’s Head to the Western Regional Championships

Athletes from Manitoba are heading to the Western Regional Championships in Burnaby, BC from April 24-28. Manitoba will be represented by: 5B – Anna Fradkov; 6B – Emma Coughlan, Sara Johnson, Kaitlyn Childs; 6C – Caroline Coughlan, Madison Frost; Level 6 Duos – Madison Frost/Sara Johnson, Emma Coughlan/Caroline Coughlan; Novice – Athena Johnson, Ella Burns; Junior O – Festina Teneqja, Aubrey Burns, Veronika Yegorova; Junior HP – Samantha Pfeil; Senior O – Anastasia Kurakin, Alexandra Yarema, Anna Belle Richards, Grace Francis, Mamie Kroekor-Tom; Senior HP – Alexys Purdie. The team will be coached by Kaedyn Lashley, while Dana Maindonald, Lisa Smyrichinsky, Shari Hebert, and Zdravka Tchonkova will be judging the competition.

The Western Regional Championships serves as the highest level of competition for Provincial Stream gymnasts. It is also the final opportunity for gymnasts in National Stream to qualify for the National Championships this May in Markham, Ontario.
