Volunteers needed! XXX position still to be filled

As the countdown to the 2011 Northern Lights Cup, Elite Canada and Canadian Group Championships nears the 28 days mark, the Local Organizing Committee is would like to thank the volunteers who signed up as of this date and is pleased to announce the second winner of the volunteer appreciation draw.

CONGRATULATIONS Jesse! You are the Second winner in the RGM WONDERLAND TICKET GIVE-AWAY. On behalf of RGM LOC, thank you for your volunteer commitment to the upcoming Northern Lights Cup  and Elite Canada/Group Canadian Championships. We still have a way to go to fill our volunteer quota. Thank you for volunteering. Spread the word and help us to recruit needed volunteers.

Rising Stars Camp Report

Risiing Stars CampThere were 26 athletes registered for the Rising Stars Camp. Four athletes registered on the day of the camp, which brought the total number of athletes to 30.

Toronto rhythmic gymnast sweeps junior titles at Koop Cup

Chanlilova hoopTORONTO — Toronto’s Patricia Bezzoubenko swept all five medals in the junior competition at the Koop Cup on Saturday, winning the all around and individual event finals in ball, hoop, ribbon and clubs.

Bezzoubenko, who has dual Russian-Canadian citizenship and trains in both Moscow and Toronto, easily topped the field in the all around with Carmel Kallemaa of Estonia and Kristine Shaldybin of the United States second and third respectively.

Kiah Ward of Vernon, B.C. placed seventh, Teija Korjus-Parker of Toronto was 10th and Michelle Qin of Toronto, 11th.

In the senior competition Mariam Chamilova of Maple, Ont., finished seventh all around and qualified for three event finals.

wonderlandThree (3) draws will be made: the first draw on February 1st , the second on February 8th  and the 3rd on February 23rd

Volunteers who have submitted their volunteer form will be eligible to win a ticket to the World premiere of the Wonderland performance by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, March 10th, 2011 along with the participants of the Northern Lights Cup ($70+ value!). Those who volunteer early have three chances to win!

All volunteers will be given a souvenir event T-shirt and by sending in your commitment now you’ll really help us in our planning.
