Facility Updates for Youth Sport

In response to changes to the Public Health Orders a number of facilities will be implementing changes on December 6, 2021.
University of Manitoba
After December 6, 2021, as recommended by the Province of Manitoba, the UM will ONLY be accepting Manitoba Immunization Cards, Manitoba Digital QR codes, Pan-Canadian PVC QR codes, ArriveCAN, and National Defense Canada Covid-19 Vaccine Record/Cards as immunization proof for entry into our facilities for individuals 18+. Any immunization records from out of country will not be accepted. Any immunization records from any other provinces or territories (with the exception of Alberta) will not be accepted. Any printouts of immunization records that do not contain scannable QR codes will not be accepted.
For those who are 12-17, starting December 6th we will accept printouts of immunization records indicating individuals have received at least one dose of Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or proof of a negative rapid COVID-19 test result within the previous 72 hours that is confirmed by a pharmacist. This will be accepted until January at which time individuals 12-17 will have to be fully immunized.

Sport Manitoba
As of December 6, 2021, youth aged 12 to 17 years attending indoor sport and recreational facilities must provide proof that they have received:
- at least one dose of an approved vaccine, or
- proof of a pharmacist-confirmed negative result from an approved rapid antigen test, from within the 72 hours before participation
At the Sport Manitoba facility, we’ll be checking ID for all patrons. For anyone aged 12 and up we will check ID and proof of vaccination, or ID and proof of the negative antigen test result.

Masks continue to be mandatory in all public spaces within the facility, except for when participants are actively engaged in physical activity.
City of Winnipeg Facilities
Proof of full COVID-19 immunization is required under provincial public health orders for anyone 18 years of age and over to visit and participate in indoor programming at City-operated pools, fitness and leisure centres, and arenas.
Effective Monday, December 6, 2021, as per provincial public health orders, anyone between the ages of 12 – 17 will require either one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or a confirmed recent negative test to participate in indoor programming.
Individuals that do not show proof of immunization will not be permitted to enter the facility or participate in indoor programming, unless they fall under an exemption in the provincial public health orders.
Customers are required to bring a piece of government-issued ID (or a school ID card for youth ages 12 – 17) to confirm that their identity matches their COVID-19 immunization card or immunization record.
Acceptable forms of identification are:
School ID card
Driver’s License
Passport, citizenship or permanent resident card
Status card
Health card
Birth certificate
Gymnastics Foundations Course on December 11
Be a part of the team going to World Gymnaestrada Amsterdam- Join Manitoba Fusion!
Manitoba Fusion is a Gymnastics for All team that is established every four years with the purpose of participating in the Canadian and World Gymnaestrada events. The information bulletin below has all the information about joining the team.

The team is recruiting experienced gymnasts, dancers and cheerleaders that
have participated in their discipline for a minimum of five years are a minimum of 10 years old.

Parents, relatives and friends of gymnasts/dancers that are 18 years or older with less than five years of gymnastics experience are also being recruited to join our performance. No experience required, just lots of
smiles and a willingness to participate!
